This is a super simple process using the Genesis Framework.
Pinterest gives you various options, but you want to go the “Use a meta tag” route.
Use a meta tag
Step 1: Get the meta tag
- On desktop web, navigate to your Account settings
- In the Claim Website section, enter your website URL and click on Claim website
- Select the Add HTML tag option
- Copy the meta tag
- Click Next
Step 2: Add it to your website
Add it to the <head> section of the index.html file of your website before the <body> section
The “head” section is under Genesis > Theme Settings in your dashboard .
Scroll down to the Header Scripts.
Just paste your code in the Header Scripts box, click save, and you’re good to go.
Step 3: Finish setting up
Go back to Pinterest and click Submit—we’ll automatically check the meta tag and claim your site.
Be sure and clear any caching plugins, or server side (through your hosting company) if it’s not confirming. You can also check it via an incognito browser.
