The Modern Blogger Pro theme gives you the option to display a slider above your Home Page Grid.
The demo does not display a slider, but if you would like to use one, drag a Genesis Responsive Slider into the Slider Widget by navigating to:
Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Slider Widget

Set up the Slider by going to
Dashboard > Genesis > Slider Settings, using the settings here.
